You may have heard the hoopla surrounding a marriage proposal to out do all others. A man known only by the moniker “JP” had allegedly bought commercial time during the Super Bowl in order to propose to his girlfriend in front of a nationally televised audience. While the ad didn’t air during the Super Bowl, JP (real name Rand) did air his ad during the decidedly more affordable Veronica Mars (her favorite show). Joe McKnight was one of the most sought after high school football recruits in the nation this year. Today is national signing day and McKnight has chosen to take his tremendous speed and athleticism to USC who has a tradition of producing great tailbacks. Like Reggie Bush, Mike Garett and OJ Simpson before, McKnight will hope to carry on a long Southern Cal tradition.
