Looking for what to watch this weekend? Check out the trailers for two big new releases, Epic Movie and Smokin’ Aces.

Epic Movie is brought to you by 2 of the 6 writers of the Scary Movie franchise. This movie is a spoof of all those big budget movies you’ve seen over the past few years such as X-Men, Pirates of the Carribbbean, Harry Potter and many more. Of course, what happens when mindless entertainment parodies mindless entertainment? Hard to tell, but these movies are usually pretty stupid and yet still good for a few laughs.

Smokin’ Aces is fast paced flick that features an all-star cast including Ben Affleck, Jeremy Piven, Andy Garcia and even songstress Alicia Keys. The movie centers around a mafia snitch in Las Vegas who has a price on his head and the numerous characters who are trying to kill him. One of the cool things about this movie is that each character is shot in a different movie style which should make this a pretty cool movie to see on the big screen. The Hitcher Movie Trailer – I want to see this movie but I am not sure if I will go to the theaters or just wait for it to come on my cable VOD. So to help make my decision one way or the other I checked out the trailer on youtube.com.

First the quality of the trailer was very poor and there was this screaming type sound through the whole trailer. Annoying! I think this will have to wait for cable or video. It’s from the producers of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, so I expect big things!

I was not a fan of the first Fantastic Four movie but I went to see it for one reason, Jessica Alba. The movie was really bad and no matter how hot Jessica is. It was a waste of my time. So I viewed the Fantastic Four 2 Movie Trailer “Rise of the Silver Surfer” with high hopes that this sequel would make up for the first flop. Silver Surfer looks very cool. Jessica looks terrible with blond hair as a side note. The movie will be out 6-15-07.

When I was a kid the Transformers hit big. More than meets the eye! Yeah you know what I am talking about. They were the counter to the cabbage patch Kids dolls. I had several Transformers and would watch the cartoons on Saturday. I am not sure how I feel about The Transformers new movie coming out. The Transformers Movie trailers are not great but I am trying not to let that cloud my judgment. So you be the judge and let us know what you think of the up coming movie.
